He is currently working as an AI/Data Consultant in a Guidehouse contract with the CDC.

From a young age, Mark's interest in environmental sustainability led him to participate in the National Honor Society's environmental beautification program, where he came to understand the magnitude of the plastic waste problem. This enthusiasm continued to grow throughout high school, where he excelled in mathematics and physics, laying a solid foundation for his future studies and professional career.
 

At Cornell University, Mark's academic pursuits focused on materials for energy storage and conversion, equipping him with a comprehensive understanding of the scientific and engineering principles behind emerging energy technologies. Through his accelerated Master of Science program, he developed the technical foundation needed to address challenges in battery technology, materials performance, and environmental sustainability.
 

Following his graduation from Cornell, Mark joined LG Energy Solution as a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, where he plays an active role in ensuring the quality and reliability of materials used in lithium-ion battery manufacturing. His responsibilities include evaluating the mechanical properties of battery components, conducting elemental analysis to identify material contamination, and working closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and industry standards. Mark has also earned IATF 16949 Internal Auditor and Lead Auditor certifications, enabling him to conduct supplier audits and assess manufacturing processes and quality management systems.

Looking ahead, Mark hopes to leverage his multidisciplinary knowledge, technical expertise, and growing understanding of the energy industry to address some of the most pressing challenges in environmental sustainability. His long-term ambition is to contribute to the development of sustainable energy infrastructure, particularly in battery recycling, critical mineral processing, and energy storage technologies.
